Special Occasion Permit

If you wish to park on Municipal Roadways in a “No Parking” area for a Special Occasion (ie. wedding, family reunion, etc), you may request Special Occasion Parking Permits from the Township of Tiny. Requests for Special Occasion Parking can be done over the e-mail, by fax, or in person. The request must be submitted no less then 7 business days prior to the event and an application is available on the website.

Residential Parking Permit

Parking Permits are available to residents at an annual cost of $15.00 each, and each property can have 2 permits. When a resident is purchasing the parking permit your licence plate number is not required but a copy of your Township of Tiny tax bill or photo I.D. is required to show proof of ownership.

Non Residential Parking Permit

Each year 150 parking permits are made available for Non-Residents to purchase. They are available on a “first come - first serve” basis and are available after April 1st of each year at an annual fee of $75.00 per permit (Maximum 2 permits per household). Only one licence plate number shall be inscribed on the parking permit and they are not transferable.

Pay Parking for Jackson Park and Woodland Beach

 

Pay parking has been implemented at Jackson Park and Woodland Beach.

 

The parking rates are set at $2.00 per hour.  There is a $4.00 minimum purchase and a $15.00 per day maximum fee.  Two parking machines have been installed at both locations to accept payments by coins and credit cards.

 

Winter Parking and Snow Removal Operations

The Township of Tiny requests the co-operation of all motor vehicle owners in keeping vehicles from obstructing snow removal operations on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Township of Tiny.


Please be reminded that under Parking By-law Number 09-025, Section C.1.(i), “No person shall park, stop or stand a vehicle on a highway in such manner as to interfere with the clearing of snow from the highway”.


Also, please be reminded that By-law Number 64-1458 prohibits the disposing or piling of snow from private property onto a Highway. 

Additionally, Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act states “No person shall deposit snow or ice on a roadway without permission in writing so to do from the Ministry or the road authority responsible for the maintenance of the road”.
