The Township recently received $67,400 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation for youth initiatives. The funding will permit community initiatives over a two-year period focused on opportunities for youth with an emphasis on youth engagement and volunteerism. The funds will provide for additional recreational choices for youth through the purchase and installation of a mobile skate park. The funding will also be used to hire a part-time Youth Coordinator and a part-time Youth Leader to assist in the implementation of youth-focused programs. The Township is thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation's devotion to community engagement for youth.
